More than a quarter of CEOs who left global listed companies in 2023 were dismissed as the challenges facing top business leaders are mounting. The analysis also found that women chief executives are being fired at a much higher rate than their male counterparts leading to a gap in average CEO tenure of 8.7 years for men versus 4.1 years for women.
