ASTRID VAN DER PUT, AMSTERDAM
Astrid van der Put-van der Vlugt studied Business Economics - both marketing and finance. She has 15 years experience in marketing and PR and has worked for the following multinationals: Nedlloyd (1994-1997), Pakhoed (1997-2000), and Rodamco (2000-2002), where she held responsibilities in corporate communications for issues ranging from earnings releases to mergers and acquisitions. In the consulting firm Schouten & Nelissen (2003-2007), she was responsible for corporate positioning. In September 2007, she launched her own firm, focusing on rebranding, events, PR and product launches. She joined Shepard Fox Communications as a partner in 2010.
SHEFALI D. BARDOLOI, BANGALORE
Shefali, a post graduate in marketing from one of India’s premier business schools, Xavier Institute of Management & Entrepreneurship, has over 11 years of experience in corporate and marketing communications, with core expertise in internal communications, branding and media events. Besides having had thorough exposure in the IT & telecom sectors, her last assignment before joining Shepard Fox Communications was with the world’s leading HR Services Company, Adecco, spearheading its marketing & communications operations across India.
Jackie Yu, Beijing
Jackie covers the whole communications range with more than 15 years experience on the agency side, in corporations and as a consultant, working mostly for international companies entering the Chinese and Asian markets. She is a specialist in international sports marketing, fashion marketing, and sports sponsoring and has run campaigns for brands like adidas or Zegna and consulted companies like Siemens in their sports sponsoring activities. Besides being a marketing communications specialist she focuses on both Chinese domestic and international media relations.
Jann G. Ohlendorf, Berlin
After graduating from the German School of Journalism in Munich, Jann was a journalist for German business daily Handelsblatt, then business correspondent for Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung. After that he worked for the telecommunications group of Siemens AG, holding various positions in corporate media relations, internal communications and as a speechwriter for group board members. He now specializes in media training and communications for scientific and academic institutions, like the German Academy of Science and Engineering.
LÁSZLÓ JUHÁSZ, BRATISLAVA
László has12 years experience in radio and print journalism working for Reuters, Radio Slovakia International, Új Szó, and The Slovak Spectator. He has also served as spokesperson for the Ministry of Construction and Regional Development of the Slovak Republic and press secretary to the Deputy Prime Minister. After an engagement with the PR company Pro Publicum, he gained web marketing and on-line media experience with SEO Company, Foliovision, and the news portal Parameter.sk. László joined Shepard Fox Communications in 2010.
Patricia Lamas Sánchez, Brussels
Patricia is based in Brussels and is a specialist in European Affairs. For the past ten years she has been working for European associations, companies and non-profit organisations carrying out Public Relations and Public Affairs campaigns. This includes the planning and organisation of international conferences and summits in co-operation with EU bodies. Patricia holds degrees in journalism and International Relations from the Universidad Pontificia de Salamanca and the Université Libre de Bruxelles, respectively.
Louis de Schorlemer, Brussels
Louis has almost 15 years of experience in corporate communications. Prior to joining Shepard Fox Communications, Louis was Director of Communications, Europe, at Gallup, a global research consultancy, for eight years. He was responsible for the strategic positioning of the organisation in the region and its reputation building among European institutions, academia and think tanks. He started his career with DaimlerChrysler, working on strategic marketing projects in Germany, Luxembourg and Australia, before moving to Brussels, where he got involved with a European youth think tank. Louis holds a Master's degree in Global Marketing Communications from Emerson College, Boston, USA.
Patrick Stumm, Brussels
Patrick Stumm is a Public Affairs specialist with more than 10 years experience in European Public Affairs in Brussels. He has been an EU Advisor on regulation and funding on EU programs such as Eco Innovation. He spent three years working as a European Affairs Consultant for the European Business Forum. For two years he worked for Brussels media EurActiv, creating public affairs strategies for clients like DuPont, Honeywell, Microsoft, Pfizer, Toyota. Prior to that Patrick was Head Information Unit for the European Commission, DG Enlargement, developing communications strategies for new EU member states, and Liaison Committee Member for the European Commission, DG Education and Culture. Patrick holds a Ph.D. in Political Sciences from the German University of Gottingen.
AMALIA POPEANGA, BUCHAREST
Amalia has degrees in political science and public relations. She has more than ten years experience in marketing, public relations, and advertising in Romania and Italy. She has worked in both the private and public sectors on projects varying from economic development initiatives and accessing European Union funds to human rights issues and branding national energy companies. She has especially been involved in media campaign planning, corporate public relations strategy, and business to business communications.
János Kurdy-Fehér, Budapest
János started his career as a press officer for the Hungarian Post. In 1994 he became the Spokesperson of the Hungarian Ministry of Transport and Communication. He went on to lead government relations units of leading international PR firms in Budapest. After being the Communications Director of one of Hungary's leading telecommunications providers, János founded his own Public Affairs and Government Relations company. In that capacity he also took over the Direction of Communications for the Hungarian University of Industrial Arts. János used to be an adviser to the Hungarian President as well as to the Secretary of State. He joined Shepard Fox Communications in 2007.
Linda Szabó, Budapest
Linda graduated from International Business School in Budapest, with a degree in marketing communications. She began her professional career at Porsche Hungary as an external communications specialist. After four years, she moved to the sales department of TV2. Subsequently Linda took over the external communications of GE-affiliate Budapest Bank, and later served as the PR Director for Austrian Erste Bank and Hungarian Postabank, where she was in charge of all communications regarding the privatisation of Postabank and the merger of the two banks. Linda joined Shepard Fox Communications in 2009.
Nikolaj Henum, Copenhagen
After graduating from Copenhagen Business School with a Master’s in International Business, Nikolaj started his career as a consultant in a Danish advertising agency, working for the EU parliament. After that he worked at a Swedish Communications agency, consulting Nordic B2B and B2C clients. He then joined Adecco Denmark where he was Head of Marketing and Communications for six years. Nikolaj has also been giving lectures on PR at Copenhagen Business School for several years.
Líadain Von Der Decken, Dublin
Líadain has over ten years experience in national and international Public Relations, both on the agency and in-house side. She gathered her experience in leading PR agencies in Dublin, London, and Brussels on technology, telecommunications and logistics accounts. In 2000, she moved to Siemens AG headquarters in Munich to set up global PR campaigns for the telecommunications group of the company before moving on to Siemens USA in Atlanta. In 2007 she joined Shepard Fox Communications to represent Ireland where is working as a PR consultant specializing in telecommunications and financial clients.
Stefan Wichmann, Frankfurt
Stefan began his career as a journalist working for leading German media Wirtschaftswoche, Zeit, Stern, and Spiegel. He then moved on to become the head of corporate communications at mobile operator T-Mobile where he was in charge of all communications of one of Germany's biggest IPOs, the going public of T-Mobile. He then founded his own PR business which he led and grew for more than a decade. After selling his company to Scholz & Friends he joined Shepard Fox Communications as a partner in 2009.
Tim Kaye, London
Tim's career comprises 11 years to Board Director level in international PR consultancies and 10 years as the founder and owner of his own business in London, primarily partnering Fortune 500 companies at the most senior global level. In that capacity he has developed global internal and external communication programs and projects for companies like Novartis and Adecco. Tim is an expert in Corporate Positioning and Vision, Change Management, Media Relations, Corporate Publishing, like Annual Reports, and Media Training.
Manuel Pueyo, Madrid
Manuel has spent several years in public affairs working for the region of Galicia in Brussels as a specialist in European Funding for Research, Innovation and Culture, and he has worked for the European Commission and in two EU oriented communication agencies (Tipik and Scholz & Friends). In Madrid, Manuel has worked for the award winning agency El Señor Goldwind prior to joining Shepard Fox Communications. He is a specialist in leveraging social media for PR and corporate communications as well as for cultural projects and artists. Manuel has a Masters in European Studies from the College of Europe in Natolin-Warsaw and a University degree in Law from the University of Santiago de Compostela.
ISABELLA LAMERA, MILAN
Isabella began her career in journalism in 1996. From 2000 to 2009, she worked for Bloomberg News as a reporter on financial markets writing stories and anchoring live television interviews. For four years of her stay at Bloomberg, Isabella was the author and anchor of a weekly program on investing in art. In 2009, Isabella represented the Italian Press Office for the Italian Ministry of the Environment at the Syracuse G8 meeting. She also became the marketing and advertising manager for FxTraderMagazine and began offering media advice to clients as diverse as Yorkville bhn, CMC Markets and Diners Club Italia. In 2010, Isabella joined Shepard Fox Communications as a partner specializing in financial and corporate media relations.
Niclas Friese-Greene, Munich
Niclas has almost 20 years of experience in the marketing & communications field. He has a wide spectrum of expertise covering all forms of marketing communications, product management, and brand strategy. He has held senior executive positions in the consumer durable industry (Loewe Home Entertainment, Grundig AG, Siemens Mobile Phones) and in gaming & entertainment (Nintendo, Premiere TV). Niclas has been running his own marketing consultancy since 2008. He joined Shepard Fox Communications as a partner in 2010.
FLORIAN KREUTZ, MUNICH
Florian has 16 years of experience in international public relations and marketing communications. He has in-depth expertise in consumer electronics, IT, and in web technology. Florian is a specialist in communicating complex technological topics and translating them into simple language and news for both trade and large consumer audiences. He spent more than 10 years in the telecommunications industry, most of the time as a marketing specialist or press spokesperson at Siemens at their mobile phones and networks divisions. He joined Shepard Fox Communications in 2012.
DETLEF ROCHOW, MUNICH
Detlef is a veteran corporate communications specialist with over 30 years experience, spanning both internal and external communications, communications strategy, change and M&A communications, CEO communications, corporate internet and intranet, and employee magazines. He is an expert in change management and securing employee buy-in during times of corporate restructuring and mergers. Detlef began his career as a journalist for daily newspapers in Germany. He then joined Siemens AG in Munich, where for more than two decades he led global corporate communications teams in the company's IT and Telecom units, comprising of 60,000 employees across 180 countries.
Jean-Philippe Lacour, Paris
After graduating from Paris IX Dauphine with degrees in business and finance, Jean-Philippe started his career as a controller. He then joined La Tribune, one of France´s leading business dailies, where he worked as a journalist for finance and law. In that position he co-authored several books on financial issues. After eight years with La Tribune in Paris he moved on to be the foreign correspondent of La Tribune in Berlin where he stayed for four years until joining Shepard Fox Communications in 2009. Jean-Philippe is a specialist in media relations and corporate publishing. And he runs the marathon in 2h35.
Pascal Aubert, Paris
Pascal Aubert has more than 20 years experience in journalism. Most of his career as a journalist he spent with La Tribune, the French business paper, being its Deputy Editorial Director between 1994 and 2008 in Paris, and International Economic Editor, Asian, Middle East & Africa as well as Washington correspondent between 1988 and 2004. He also worked for other French media including Le Matin, France Soir, and Le Point. In cooperation with Europe 1, he did a daily economic and financial TV program. Within Shepard Fox Communications Pascal is looking after media relations in France, with a focus on Paris.
Ivy Soon, Shanghai
Ivy was born in Hong Kong and educated in the US. She has 20 years experience working in Asia with 10 years living and working in China. Formerly a general manager for a global PR firm which expanded rapidly in Asia during her three year tenure, Ivy now heads her own firm in Shanghai with a broad range of clients. She specializes in brand building, communication strategy, and issue/crisis management. Ivy also is a sought after guest lecturer on PR and doing business in Asia at Chinese universities and has won several industry awards.
PHILIP GAO, SHENZHEN
Philip started his career as an English-Chinese interpreter/translator for a Beijing-based tendering company in 1990. Within Shepard Fox, Phillip leads the content localization team for China, consisting of linguistic and technical professionals, helping foreign businesses localize their product, service, or organization content for Chinese audiences, thus providing Shepard Fox customers a stepping stone to the Chinese market. Philip received his BA in English Literature from Xiangtan University of Hunan Province and a postgraduate degree in law from China University of Political Science and Law.
Ian Grundy, Singapore
Ian has over 20 years experience in international corporate communications. He has held senior positions for the Adecco Group in Singapore, New York and Zurich, with responsibility for the Asian and US marketing activities and overseeing global sponsoring partnerships, CSR and PR, respectively. Ian is an expert in international media relations, brand management, sponsoring, event management, and crisis management. Having begun his public relations career in the late eighties with an advertising and PR firm in the UK, Ian has a passion for new media solutions and practicing hands-on PR.
DAVID HOLLERTZ, STOCKHOLM
David has degrees in Media & Communication Science and Business Administration from Swedish universities. He started his career in the Swedish advertising and PR business, managing projects mainly in communication strategy development and corporate publishing for B2B and B2C clients. David is an expert in private as well as public sector needs for cross-border communication solutions, with a focus on Swedish-German public affairs and, as a consequence, is splitting his time between Stockholm and Berlin.
MARK CHEN, TAIPEI
Mark has more than 20 years experience in communications, with particular expertise in corporate image and reputation management, as well as in media relations, sponsorship management and marketing communications including branding. He worked for international PR agencies like Hill & Knowlton and Edelman, on the Vice President level, before founding his own company in Taipei in 2004, which holds accounts with leading international companies and brands from the healthcare & pharmaceutical sectors, as well as from the IT & telecommunications and financial sectors. Mark joined Shepard Fox Communications in 2010.
Maria Diviney, Toulouse
Before moving to the south of France and joining Shepard Fox Communications, Maria worked with the pan European public relations agency, Hopscotch Europe In One, in Dublin, where she collaborated on developing a vast and varied client base including multinational accounts such as General Electric Energy and Renault. Maria was directly involved in the deployment of successful communications strategies as well as business development strategies. Her particular passions are writing and media relations. She is a graduate from the Dublin Institute of Technology with a masters degree in public relations and in 2009 accepted the prestigious European Jos Willems PR award. Maria is bilingual English-French.
Cezariusz T. Pawlowski, Warsaw
Cezariusz has a degree in Physics and an MBA from the International Business School in Warsaw. Most of his carrier has been spent in sales, marketing & communications for international corporations. Positions he has held include that of business development executive for the public sector at IBM, general manager at New Horizons CLC, and president at Mindworx Polska. Within Shepard Fox Communications, Cezariusz focuses on public relations, public affairs, reputation management and employer branding.
Axel J. Schafmeister, Zurich
Axel is an expert in International Media Relations and Executive & Financial Communications. He has worked in PR, journalism, and advertising for 15 years. Prior to founding Shepard Fox Communications in 2007 and becoming its Managing Director, he was the Global PR Director & Corporate Spokesperson of the Adecco Group in Zurich. Before that he was the Head of Corporate PR & Global Media Relations at Siemens AG in Munich for the mobile communications group. André Lehmann has eight years journalistic and editing experience from top tier international print media and newswires. For French newswire Agence France Press (AFP) he has been reporting on a vast array of topics such as banking regulation, finance, insurance, pharmaceuticals and politics (from Paris and Zurich). As a foreign correspondent he delivered reports from Liberia, Libya, West Bank, Gaza, Moldova, and Brussels. Lorraine has over twelve years experience in international public relations and communications. Having achieved qualifications in English, public relations and PR, she spent five years working in Bates PanGulf PR, a leading PR agency in Dubai, in addition to previous in-house experience. She has dealt with a wide gamut of clients, covering the pharmaceutical, hospitality, consumer and automobile industries.
