Munich, April 29, 2014: From glucose-powered biofuel cells to invisible bicycle helmets: Shepard Fox promotes nominees for the European Inventor Award in the UK, France, Italy, Spain, Sweden, Denmark, Belgium, and Poland
Inventors are pioneers at the frontiers of science and engineering. Through their inventions, they generate jobs, they promote competitiveness and economic growth. From hundreds of proposals, an independent jury has nominated 15 finalists for Europe’s highest technology award. – Shepard Fox is honored to have been chosen by the European Patent Office, which awards the ‘technology oscars’, to promote the nominees across Europe and in their respective home countries: the UK, France, Italy, Spain, Sweden, Denmark, Belgium, and Poland. Shepard Fox prepared and carried out the annoucement of the nominations to the press and general public, and arranged interviews with TV, radio, online and print media and the nominated researchers and scientists. The awards will be handed out to the winners during a ceremony in Berlin on June 17.
Zurich/New York, April 28, 2014: XL Group gets personal with a new multi media marketing campaign – Shepard Fox supports global insurer by localizing ads for regional and national campaigns
With headlines such as “Scott wants tech firm to share firewall” or “Lorraine seeking company to share her umbrella”, global insurance company XL Group has launched a new marketing campaign called “personal.” The ads feature XL’s own underwriters and risk engineers across print, online trade publications, and social media, looking for a partner, mimicking personal ads. The campaign was developed by XL Group’s internal Communications & Marketing team. Shepard Fox Communications supported the team by localizing the copy text of the ads for the various regions and countries in which XL Group is insuring clients.

More natural, more refreshing, stronger brand presence – The new NESTEA labels have hit the shelves in Switzerland and are now being wrapped around NESTEA bottles and cans across all NESTEA markets. They are part of the new Visual Identity System which increases the visibility on shelves and improves flavor navigation. Tests have shown an increase in consumer preference. The new look is perceived as more natural and more refreshing than the previous design. “Shoppers are distinguishing NESTEA more easily from competitors and are associating NESTEA more strongly with naturalness”, says Marcos de la Torre, Brand Director of Beverage Partners Worldwide, BPW, the Coca-Cola Company & Nestlé joint venture that markets NESTEA in Europe, Canada, Russia, and Australia. – Shepard Fox supports BPW with a range of communications services, from internal communications to social media management.
Brussels, March 6, 2014: Patent filings at the European Patent Office (EPO) reach all-time high – Shepard Fox helps EPO communicate its Annual Results
Patent filings at the European Patent Office (EPO) grew by 2.8% last year and hit another all-time high, showing that Europe continues to be a key market for
innovation. That was the key news presented to international media today at a press conference by the European Patent Office, which was organized with the help of Shepard Fox Communications. Shepard Fox also supported the EPO in communicating the patent filing figures locally country by country in France, the UK, Germany, Italy, Spain, Switzerland, Belgium, the Netherlands, Sweden, Poland, Japan, Korea, China and the US, by preparing local messages in the respective local language. Shepard Fox also arranged interviews with EPO President Benoît Battistelli with TV, radio, print and online media from across Europe.

The Annual Results comprise the figures of global patent filings at the EPO and are considered a key indicator for the state of the global economy as well as for innovation and competiveness. Shepard Fox Communications is supporting Beverage Partners Worldwide (BPW), the 50:50 joint venture of The Coca-Cola Company and Nestlé S.A. which is responsible for NESTEA ready-to-drink tea in Europe and Canada, in managing its social media. The assignment includes support in answering facebook posts and in developing global social media guidelines. Shepard Fox Communications has already been providing BPW Headquarters in Zurich, Switzerland, with a range of various PR activities for the past two years.
Munich, December 12, 2013: Shepard Fox Communications to support Infineon Technologies in its marketing automation drive in 2014
Shepard Fox Communications will be supporting Europe’s top semiconductor company and global market leader in automotive sensors, Infineon Technologies, in its push to generate new sales leads via marketing automation. Marketing automation is rapidly replacing the traditional forms of winning new clients like collecting business cards at trade shows and then following up with those contacts by mail. In marketing automation prospects are scored, based on their web activities, and then followed up with campaign messaging via email and social channels, thus nurturing them from first interest through to sale. Shepard Fox supports Infineon in developing the campaign messaging.
Sao Paulo, October 21, 2013: Shepard Fox to promote XL Group insurance experts during Risk and Insurance Management Conference in Brazil
Shepard Fox Communications will be supporting XL Group, the global insurance and reinsurance company, during the International Risk and Insurance Management Conference taking place between October 21th and 23rd in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Shepard Fox will prepare and arrange interviews with Brazilian key trade and business publications and the XL Group CEO as well as with the local Brazilian XL Group executives. They will discuss with journalists the risks associated with the interdependence of globalized production, and the new risk factors that directors and officers face in today’s economic and regulatory environment. The conference, organized by the Brazilian risk management association, ABGR (Associação Brasileira de Gerência de Riscos), brings together almost 1200 insurance professionals.
Munich, October 17, 2013: Shepard Fox supports 40th anniversary of the European Patent Convention with pan-European press activities
At a celebration attended by Herman Van Rompuy, President of the European Council, the European Patent Office today marked the 40th anniversary of the European Patent Convention (EPC). On 5 October 1973, the EPC was signed in Munich, establishing a legal framework for the transnational grant of patents in Europe. Shepard Fox Communications was in charge of the pan-European press activities for the anniversary: drafting and distributing the European press release as well as 9 local press releases for France, Italy, Spain, the UK, the Netherlands, Belgium, Poland, Germany, and Austria. Shepard Fox was also in charge of organizing the press conference held by the President of the European Patent Office, Benoît Battistelli, and a press trip, bringing some 20 journalists from across Europe to Munich for the anniversary celebrations and the press conference.

Shepard Fox Communications is producing a new internal newsletter for the global marketing community of NESTEA, the ready-to-drink tea. Shepard Fox is in charge of researching best marketing and advertising practices from 52 countries, writing and editing news articles on those best practices and publishing them in a newly created newsletter format, including graphic design, printing and distribution. Shepard Fox has already been supporting Beverage Partners Worldwide (BPW), the 50:50 joint venture of The Coca-Cola Company and Nestlé S.A. which is responsible for NESTEA in Europe and Canada, with public relations and communications services.
