Lisbon, June 9, 2016: Exceptional inventors from Denmark, France, Germany, the Netherlands, the UK and the US receive European Inventor Award 2016 at ceremony in Lisbon – Shepard Fox manages global media relations
The European Patent Office (EPO) showcased the best and brightest in innovation today at the European Inventor Award 2016 ceremony in Lisbon. Now in its 11th year, the award is presented annually by the EPO to recognise outstanding inventors from Europe and around the world, who have made an exceptional contribution to social development, technological progress and economic growth. Nearly 600 prominent guests from the areas of politics, business, intellectual property and science were in attendance at Lisbon’s MEO Arena as the EPO President, Portugal’s Prime Minister António Costa and European Commissioner for Research, Science and Innovation Carlos Moedas opened the award ceremony. – Shepard Fox – for the fourth consecutive year – has been in charge of PR and global media relations for the event which includes organising a press trip for 60 journalists from around the world, preparing and managing the event’s press conference, arranging more than 100 interviews with the finalists and winners of the Award, including live TV coverage and live streams, as well as creating and distributing press releases and films on the winners in 12 languages.

Munich, April 26, 2016: Top inventions that could change the world – Shepard Fox promotes European Inventor Awards 2016 across Europe, the US, and India
The European Patent Office (EPO) today announced its annual shortlist for its European Inventor Awards, which honors a range of scientists across industries. Again, it’s packed with some inventions that could be truly groundbreaking. The fifteen finalists are grouped into four categories, including one for non-European inventors. Three additional inventors also are up for a lifetime achievement award. One winner will be selected from each category, and then the public can vote on the overall winner, with the awards taking place June 9 in Lisbon. – For the fourth consecutive year, Shepard Fox supports the EPO with a global media relations campaign, announcing the Award nominations to the media in the home countries of the finalists in the respective local language, including the US, the UK, Sweden, Denmark, Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany, France, Italy, Portugal, Lithuania, and India. Starting immediately, Shepard Fox Communications will be promoting Swissquote Bank, the leading Swiss online bank, in Italy. Shepard Fox has already been supporting Swissquote with PR in Switzerland and the UK since 2015. By expanding the scope of PR services to include Italy, Shepard Fox supports Swissquote in its drive to grow its clients base internationally. Brussels, March 3, 2016: Shepard Fox supports European Patent Office in announcing global patent filing figures for 2015 in 15 languages
At a press conference in Brussels, the European Patent Office today announced its 2015 Annual Results: the number of patent applications the Office received from all over the world in 2015. The number of patent applications rose by 4.8% to 160.000. The growth was fueled mainly by companies from the US and China. – Shepard Fox organized the press conference in Brussels attended by more than 40 foreign correspondents and arranged the media interviews with the President of the European Patent Office. Shepard Fox also prepared the annoucement of the 2015 results by producing local press releases in 15 languages, and distributing the press releases across Europe, the US, the Republic of Korea, Japan, and China.

The global insurance company XL Catlin today announced it has begun the licensing process to establish a reinsurance branch in India. Paris, December 8, 2015: From Kyoto to Paris COP21: Inventions in climate change mitigation technologies increased fivefold since 1995 – Shepard Fox promotes study by United Nations and European Patent Office
A new study conducted by the European Patent Office (EPO) and the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) shows that inventions in climate change mitigation technologies have seen a fivefold increase worldwide since 1995. Europe produces 18% of the world’s low-carbon inventions. As a result, kg CO2 per Euro of European GDP have fallen by 30% since 1995. The study was presented today in Paris during COP21. – Shepard Fox has been commissioned to promote the results of the study in France, the UK, Italy and Spain, which includes issuing press releases in several languages including infographics, and arranging media interviews across Europe.

This year the European Patent Office and China’s State Intellectual Property Office (SIPO) celebrate 30 years of bilateral co-operation – a partnership that has had a profound impact on intellectual property worldwide. The EPO and the SIPO looked back at the achievements of three decades of collaboration at a conference today in Lyon, France. Frankfurt, June 15, 2015: Shepard Fox supports GE at world leading chemical engineering and process industries trade show Achema
At the ACHEMA 2015 trade show in Frankfurt, GE (General Electric) showcased applications for use in Asset Performance Management (APM) in the chemical and process industries.
