Paris, June 11, 2015: Shepard Fox promotes European Inventor Awards – Outstanding inventors honored during Award ceremony in Paris
The European Patent Office (EPO) today presented the European Inventor Award 2015 in the heart of Paris. The prestigious annual award, now in its 10th year, honours outstanding inventors who through their work have made an exceptional contribution to social development, technological progress and economic growth. More than 400 guests from the worlds of politics, business and academia attended the award ceremony at the Palais Brongniart, the historical Paris stock Exchange. Shepard Fox – for the third consecutive year – has been in charge of global media relations for the Award, which included taking care of the 60 international journalists that attended the ceremony in Paris, reporting about the Award winners to all parts of the world.
Dublin, May 4, 2015: XL Group and Catlin launch unified brand; Shepard Fox localizes “Insurance for a bold new world” global marketing campaign
Following the completion of XL Group’s acquisition of Catlin Group, the two insurance companies have officially joined operations and today launched a new brand, XL Catlin. A new global marketing campaign, reflecting the greater scale, ambition and opportunity for the combined company to offer risk solutions will launch tomorrow. The new “Insurance for a bold new world” advertisements were adapted by Shepard Fox for the local markets in Germany, Italy, France, Spain, Brazil and China, by recreating the copy texts in the respective languages. Shepard Fox also wrote the copy texts for the local versions of the new XL Catlin corporate brochure in the same countries.

The European Patent Office (EPO) today announced its finalists for the 2015 European Inventor Awards, honoring brilliant inventions from a range of scientific fields, and hired Shepard Fox to promote Europe’s most prestigious prize for innovation and this year’s nominees around the globe. A dozen finalists are grouped into four categories, including one for non-European inventors; three additional finalists are eligible for a lifetime achievement recognition. One winner will be selected from each category, and then the public can vote on the overall winner, with the awards taking place on June 11 in Paris. – Shepard Fox is in charge of international media relations, which includes local press announcements in finalists’ home countries (UK, France, Sweden, Netherlands, Latvia, Australia, China, Japan, US), and interviews of the finalists with TV, radio, online and print media.

Infineon Technologies, one of the world’s leading semiconductor manufacturers, has launched a new newsletter aimed at engineers and developers. Shepard Fox is supporting Infineon in developing and editing the content for the monthly newsletter, turning technical content on modules, microcontrollers and transceivers into news and stories interesting to read. The content is also used for Infineon’s social media channels.

For the third consecutive year, Shepard Fox has been commissioned by the European Patent Office to promote the 2015 nominees for the European Inventor Award, Europe’s most prestigious prize for innovation. The 15 finalists for the prize awarded in 5 categories will be announced in April; they will be coming from all over the world. Shepard Fox is preparing the media releases for announcing the nominations globally and in the respective home countries of the finalists. The 2015 winners of the European Inventor Award will be announced during a ceremony in Paris on June 11.

The number of Japanese patent filings dropped sharply last year. Analysing the decline, the President of the European Patent Office Benoît Battistelli, today spoke to Japanese journalists in Tokyo.
